What AI2Vault does

AI2Vault is a Chrome extension that exports your Grok chats into Obsidian-ready Markdown. The ZIP archive is built in your browser.

Grok session data

While you are logged into grok.com, the extension reads conversation lists and transcripts from Grok’s own APIs using your existing browser session. We do not ask for your Grok password.

Grok AI summaries (on by default)

When “Generate AI Summaries” is on, transcript text is sent to a Cloudflare Worker (ao-summary-proxy) and then to Grok via OpenRouter using your license credits or your own OpenRouter key. Those chats were already processed by Grok when you used grok.com. You can turn summaries off in Vault Settings.

Local vault memory

Exported titles, projects, and themes can be stored on this browser in IndexedDB, encrypted with AES-GCM. That memory stays on the device and is used to improve later Grok summaries and wikilinks. It is not a cloud memory product.

Payments and licenses

Stripe processes $19 lifetime Pro purchases and $10 credit reloads. A license key and credit balance are stored in Cloudflare KV. We do not put your card details in the extension.

What we do not do

AI2Vault does not ship an analytics SDK, ads, or session replay. We do not sell chat contents.
